How to Wear Bold Colors On Your Eyes

This season, it’s all about adding vibrant hues to eyes – the bolder, the better! And with the launch of the new ShadowSense Tropical Collection, there are plenty of beautiful shades to play with this month! Bright colors elevate your style and make your look more interesting. However, it can be tricky adding color to accent your look without distracting from it. Use these tips below to incorporate this fun and exciting trend into your look this season.

Keep bold color on the lower lid. When bright colors are extended too far above the crease, it can look harsh and overpower the entire eye area. Avoid this issue by concentrating color on the lid and use a clean brush to diffuse the color right at the crease to create a blended look. (Lava Shimmer ShadowSense featured on model.)

Wear bold color as eyeliner. A simple way to add a bright pop of color is to line your eyes with it. Crème to powder ShadowSense can be used as eyeliner when applied with a thin-tipped eyeliner brush. Try Palm Glitter ShadowSensefrom the limited edition Tropical Collection for a fun twist on your typical look.

Wear color along the lower lash line. Another easy way to make your usual eye look more exciting is to pair a neutral eye with a bright color along the lower lash line. Try a neutral mauve look on the eyes by applying Moca Java ShadowSense as your base and Garnet ShadowSense to accent the outer V of the eye. Then, add Tropical Orchid Glitter ShadowSense along the lower lash line.

Tap color onto center of the lid. You can also add a pop of color to a neutral eye look by tapping the bold color onto the center of the lid. Try shading lids with Moca Java ShadowSense. Then, tap Lava Shimmer ShadowSense onto the center of the lid and blend the edges.

Wear Mascara. Bold colors can overpower your lashes so applying mascara to them will frame your eyes and make your eyes stand out. Begin by using an eyelash curler to curl your lashes. Follow this step with LashSense Lash Builder to prime and build before applying LashSense Waterproof Mascara for luscious lashes that tie your whole look together.

Though I specifically call out SeneGence products, the techniques discussed are applicable to any brand of product.
